The breathtaking potential of the Blackhawks' new line
Artem Anisimov was where all of the life of Patrick Kane Jersey?
Marko Dano was supposed to be the stud Brandon Saad in the trade, and it could still be, but for now, Anisimov was a Kane centering star on the Blackhawks only line that could mark until Jonathan Toews discovered three-on-three overtime.
Last season, you remember, Brad Richards was supposed to be the answer for Kane - always someone is supposed to be the answer, even Michal Handzus - but inexplicable and unacceptable Richards three goals in 22 games before Thanksgiving and none in October 1 killed that idea for a while.
Anisimov, meanwhile, already has five goals in the first 12 games of the Blackhawks, two of them shorthanded, including the clincher in the 4-2 win over the Kings on Monday night.
For those of you scoring at home, Anisimov is a goal of Saad.
Even absent, Saad large numbers in the context and perspective of this pairing Anisimov-Kane and now the trio which includes wonderfully talented Teuvo Teravainen.
If you remember, the Blackhawks have closed their frustrating 2014 playoffs against the Kings with Kane, Saad and Andrew Shaw almost carrying the team Stanley Cup Finals that would surely have led to back-to-back Cups.
It was believed that Kane and his puck handling of witchcraft would have the Saad man-child and ways of net-crush on her left side for 10 years. Here's how good they were.
And then they got Quenneville'd.
And then Saad was traded.
And an injury to Marian Hossa last weekend has exacerbated existing problems for the Hawks surprisingly __gVirt_NP_NN_NNPS <__ disputed goal.
So coach Joel Quenneville Artemi Panarin promoted from the left wing of Kane and Toews replaced with Teravainen Panarin.
At times, it seems that it does not matter who skates with Kane, who is among the league frontrunners in goals and points. Kane spectacular exponentially skills may be enough. See objective 1-against-5 equalizer early in the third period on Monday for more details.
But when he skates with Teravainen, there is always the feeling that something is just breathtaking of abandonment.
Both can dart, armor, wield the stick, pass and shoot. Each has a grand vision to create parts and speed to avoid contact. Neither is selfish.
They will do something you have not thought of. They will do anything they have not thought.
And there it was. Brilliant passes not look at Kane Teravainen that led to the goal of final victory against the Kings.
This, by the way, was the result of good work by Anisimov, who captured a loose puck that Kane had lost in the left circle and then moved behind the net to Kane could go Gretzky.
Kane goes and Teravainen shot was so sudden and beautiful and perfect as you might think they had been together for 10 years or think they might certainly.
Where have I heard that before?
