Nick Schmaltz has been one of the top prospects from the Chicago Blackhawks Jerseys since the team traded up to select him in the first round of the NHL Draft 2014 now ranking No. 2 on our list of Top 25 Under 25, the gifted striker is the edge of a potentially large role with the NHL team this season. Like any other young striker struggling for playing time in Chicago, he has a lot of competition, but Schmaltz has the biggest rise of the heap. If he is able to put it all together as a player three areas, Schmaltz could be one of the best plays in hockey.

discomposure
Schmaltz has been a good prospect for a long time, and the Hawks liked from the beginning. That's why negotiating to write the Madison, Wisc., native in the first round in 2014, and is why we pushed so hard to sign him to an entry level contract this summer. Since he agreed to leave college to become a professional, who has been constantly mentioned as a possible factor major contributor in Chicago this season.

The maximum limit of Schmaltz is undoubtedly high, although it is unclear if he is ready to reach it - or if you get there at all. Corey Pronman ESPN said he is still a work in progress with your game away from the disk and needs to improve on finishing their checks, for example. If Schmaltz wants to become a top two-way forwards in the NHL, you will have to polish the parts of his game to become a more complete and consistent player.

Schmaltz it brings to the table is the ability to almost supernatural plays. He has the size to be strong on the puck, he uses his vision to find angles and shows the ability to pass elite. After a good-not-great first year at UND where he recorded five goals and 26 points in 38 games, Schmaltz exploded in his second year with 11 goals and 46 points in 37 games as the hawks fighting won the national championship. Playing on a line with Vancouver perspective Brock Boeser, who ranks even higher in circles perspective, certainly helped Schmaltz, but it should be a surprise that a playmaker elite would benefit from being paired with the best prepared players to finish the possibilities it creates.

And beyond his amazing offensive capabilities, Schmaltz is advancing with the rest of his game. It has improved the defensive, become more involved as a forechecker in his second year at UND. The 20-year-old even killed some penalties at the time with the US team Junior World Championship, where he had eight points in seven games.

Schmaltz has played up the talent around him, sometimes, and although that is frustrated explorers looking for more consistency, at least insinuates into his mouth. "He has it played well, but you know I could reach that highest level and just has not done yet," he wrote in his Pronman ranking perspective.

Maybe have the opportunity to potentially play alongside rookie Jonathan Toews Jersey help motivate Schmaltz take your game to that level that many have waited to see. The advantage is definitely there, but there should be some skepticism about its ability to produce from day one.

What's next for 2016-17
Is not that what everyone wants to know? Schmaltz enters the field with so much uncertainty as any prospect in the Hawks. That could potentially spend all year in Rockford, if he is not ready, but there is a non-zero chance that he is playing alongside Toews opening night. It is a wide range of possibilities, it is appropriate for a player who could move out in a number of different ways. Perhaps you can follow the same path as Teuvo Teräväinen and get a few months in the AHL before becoming one half of full-time NHLer way through the season. He'll be watched closely, no matter where it is, however, as the best chance of the Hawks in the addition of another young striker high level in the near future.
